Glen E. Nine, 93, Fort Wayne, IN and having family members in Huntington County, died Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at Visiting Nurse in Fort Wayne.
He was a World War II Navy veteran. He worked at Magnavox for 40 years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Magnavox Quarter Century Club and the Magnavox Over the Hill Gang.
He was born in Monticello to Ernest and Ida Nine. He married Phyllis Nine, who preceded him in death.
Surviving are four daughters, Joyce (Tony) Lillo, of Fort Wayne; Susan (Bill) Howald, of Garland, TX; Debbie (Tom) Winters, of Laotto; and Glenda (George Nocery) McCulloch, of Cape Canaveral, FL; three brothers, Paul (Jeanette) Nine, of Huntington; John (Delores) Nine, of Roanoke; and Ernest (Judy) Nine, of Columbia City; two sisters, Juanita Houser, of Fort Wayne, and Laura (Harold) Monnot, of Peru; four grandchildren Jeff Howald, Mike Winters, Jason Lillo and Selena Winters; and two great-grandchildren Carter Lillo and Laela Combs.
Calling is Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Rd., Fort Wayne. Funeral service is Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with calling one hour prior. Burial will be at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.
