Pearl Harris, 87, of Andrews, IN, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at her daughter's home in Huntington, IN.
Mrs. Harris worked at Gemco in Andrews from 1963 to 1979, and retired from Sportsmobile in Huntington in 1991 after 12 years of service. She was a member of Bethesda Freewill Baptist Church in Andrews.
She was born Dec. 22, 1925, in Indian Creek, KY, to Joe and Eliza Johnson Johnson. She married Carl Harris on April 5, 1947, in Pikeville, KY. He preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 2004.
Surviving are two sons, Jim (Kimberly) Harris, of Huntington, and Dean (Annette) Harris, of Andrews; a daughter, Dorsie (Phillip) Hamilton, of Huntington; three sisters, Dorothy (Franklin) Little, of Taylor, MI; Ruby Salamone, of Lincoln Park; and Joshie Little, of Vergie, KY; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Calling is Friday, Nov. 22, 2013, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bethesda Freewill Baptist Church, 116 S. Main St., Andrews, where a funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 23, at 11 a.m. Rev. Rolla Blair and Rev. Mathew Snodderly will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Andrews.
