Michael Glen Rose, 63, of Hoagland, IN, died Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, in Huntington, IN.
Mr. Rose retired in July 2013 from Custom Car Care, in Decatur. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hessen Cassel, and a member of the Southwest Conservation Club, Wells County Gun Club and Hillside Gun Club.
He was born July 18, 1950, in Des Moines, IA, to Glen Joseph and Frances Mae Fisher Shady Rose. He married Denise Ann Sorg on Sept. 6, 1986, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hessen Cassel. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Amanda (Ben) Penrod and Kaitlyn Rose, both of Fort Wayne; two brothers, Roger (Cindy) Rose, of Decatur, and Don Rose, of Paso Robles, CA; his mother-in-law, Mildred Sorg, of Hoagland; and a sister-in-law, Linda Sorg, of Fort Wayne.
Calling is Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, from 10 a.m. to noon and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., with a rosary service at 3:30 p.m., at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, in Monroeville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hessen Cassel, with Rev. William Kummer officiating. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Hessen Cassel.
