Helen Jane Zimmerlee, 85, of Huntington, IN, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at 3:25 p.m. at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Zimmerlee graduated in 1946 from Huntington High School. She retired from Farm Bureau Insurance as senior (CSR) representative after 32 years of employment. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, where she belonged to the Methodist Women and the Missionary Society. She was the church secretary for more than 15 years and served as a junior church leader for many years.
She was born March 25, 1928, in Huntington to Harry E. and Sylvia I. Simons Martin. She married Chester D. Zimmerlee on Nov. 22, 1945, in Culver, and he preceded her in death on July 14, 2013.
Surviving are two daughters, Cynthia Kay Kiefer and Sue Ann Burnworth, both of Huntington; six grandchildren, Tony Burnworth, Troy Kiefer, Trent Kiefer, Angie Burnworth, Rochelle Kennedy and Jeff Burnworth; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Calling is Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, from 10 a.m. to noon at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A funeral service will follow at noon at the funeral home, with the burial following in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Huntington.
Memorials are to Bethel United Methodist Church missions in care of Bailey-Love Mortuary.
