Kenneth Garth Lindley II, 20, of Kendallville, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, of injuries suffered in a car crash in DeKalb County.
Mr. Lindley graduated from East Noble High School in 2012 and was employed as an operator at Knott Excavating, of LaOtto. He attended the First Christian Church, was active in the church's youth group and was a member of the Eagles Lodge. He served as a camp counselor at the MDO Deaf Youth Sports Festival, in Louisville, KY.
He was born Sept. 17, 1993, in Kendallville. He is survived by his father, Kenneth Garth Lindley, of Adams Lake, and his mother, Tammy Jo (Troy) Bender, of Kendallville. He is also survived by his fiancée, Parrish Tuttle, of Avilla.
Additional survivors include a sister, Sieara Lindley, of Kendallville; a stepsister, Kristen Bender, of Kendallville; his maternal grandparents, Lonnie and Sharon Waltenberger, of Kendallville; his paternal grandfather, Jim Lindley, of Adams Lake; his paternal grandmother, Sandra (Bobby) Mitchell, of Huntington; his stepgrandparents, Patricia and Harold Bender, of Albion; and his maternal great-grandmothers, Shirley Waltenberger and Joanna Herendeen, both of Kendallville.
Calling is Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hite Funeral Home, in Kendallville. A service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2013, at 1 p.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at the First Christian Church, in Kendallville. Rev. Dan Cosentino will officiate. Burial will be at Orange Cemetery, near Rome City.
