Louise Wohlford, 94, of Bippus, IN, died Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at 11:05 a.m. at her daughter's home in Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Wohlford graduated from Bippus High School in 1938. She and her husband Mike started Mike's Furniture and Appliances in Bippus in 1954, and she retired in 1990. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Bippus and the Calvary Ladies Aid.
She was born Dec. 23, 1919, in Wabash to Clyde and Mary Lurlie Brown Ray. She married Howard "Mike" Michel on Oct. 22, 1938, in Warsaw. He preceded her in death on Feb. 19, 1971. She married Keith L. Wohlford on June 30, 1973, in Huntington. He preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 1998.
Survivors include three daughters, Kaye (Larry) Hoch, of Fort Wayne; Norma Carroll, of Roanoke; and Glenna (Earl) Singer, of Columbia City; a stepson, Richard (Carole) Wohlford, of Angola; two stepdaughters, Esther (Ron) Lancaster, of Huntsville, and Margie (Larry) Coble, of South Whitley; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Calling is Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014, for one hour prior to the service at 11 a.m., at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. Rev. Barry Faucett will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Servia.
