Michael W. Sprinkle, 73, of Fort Wayne, IN, and a former resident of Huntington County, IN, died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, at 4:50 a.m. at his home.
Mr. Sprinkle had been a factory worker at Dana Corporation for 40 years. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, The Olive Club and Southwest Conservation Club.
He was born June 5, 1940, in Henderson, KY, to Glenn and Melba Werner Sprinkle. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lyndal Thomas Sprinkle.
Survivors include two daughters, Star (Billy) Hitzfield, of Fort Wayne, and Paula Renee (Steve) Witte, of Ossian; two sons, Rick Sprinkle, of Fort Wayne, and Michael (Kim) Sprinkle, of Ossian; a brother, David (Jan) Sprinkle, of Swayzee; a sister, Nancy (Jim) Herber, of Fort Wayne;12 grandchildren, Taylor, Audrey, Brandon, Clint, Zackery, Rickie, Gabrielle, Elise, Jacob, Jessica, Mikie and Kristen; and eight great-grandchildren.
Calling is Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Rd., Fort Wayne. A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at 10 a.m., with calling 30 minutes prior to the service. Rev. Marty Hampton will officiate. Burial will be at Lindenwood Cemetery.
