Sister Rosario Lara, OLVM, 97, a resident of Victory Noll, in Huntington, IN, died Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at Victory Noll's Holy Family Health Care Center,
Sister Lara entered the congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on Aug. 28, 1935, and made her first vows on Aug. 21, 1938. She served in the missions in Utah, Nevada, California, Colorado, Texas and Arizona. She returned to Victory Noll in 2002 to volunteer in the audio library.
She was born April 28, 1916, in San Diego, CA, to Alfred and Celsa Ceseña Lara.
A vigil service will be held on Thursday, Feb.13, 2014, with calling one hour prior to the service, at Victory Noll Memorial Chapel, 1900 W. Park Drive, Huntington. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated in the chapel on Friday, Feb.14, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., with calling one hour prior to Mass. Burial will be at Victory Noll Cemetery, Huntington.
