Richard B. "Dick" Roth, 82, of Huntington, IN, died Friday, Feb. 7, 2014, at 11:40 a.m. at Miller's Merry Manor, Huntington.
Mr. Roth retired from Fisher Body in Marion after 29 years of service. He was a member of the Pilcher's Chapel United Methodist Church of Huntington. He was a 1949 graduate of Monument City High School and attended Huntington College where he played basketball and football and was inducted into the Basketball Hall Of Fame.
He was born April 23, 1931, in Huntington County, to Harry and Zora J. Bailey Roth. He married F. Colleen Beals on Nov. 2, 1949, in Lincolnville. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Cynthia R. Graft, of Andrews, and Carla D. Worthington, of Huntington; a sister, Josephine Fullhart, of Fort Wayne; a brother, James J. Roth, of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
Calling is Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. A service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at the mortuary at 10 a.m. with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Dr. Veryl Roth will officiate. Burial will be in Monument City Memorial Cemetery, Huntington County.
