Sister Martha Wilke

Sister Martha Wilke, OLVM, 92, a resident of Victory Noll, in Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at Victory Noll's Holy Family Health Care Center.
Sister Wilke entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on Oct. 28, 1939, and made her first vows on Aug. 5, 1942. She served in the missions in Indiana, Colorado, Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Michigan. She retired in 2000 to Victory Noll, where she served as a prison ministry correspondent and pastoral care volunteer. She fully retired from her prison letter writing ministry in 2013.
She was born in St. Rose, IL, on July 21, 1921, to Stephen and Mary Agnes Tebbe Wilke.
She is survived by a brother, Andrew Wilke, of Breese, IL; and three sisters, Mary Ann Hempen and Bertha Klueme, both of Breese, IL, and Irma Korte, of Highland, IL.
A vigil service will be held on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at 7 p.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at Victory Noll Chapel, 1900 W. Park Drive, Huntington. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at the chapel on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., with calling one hour prior to Mass. Burial will be at Victory Noll Cemetery.
