Eddie Lee Gipson, 67, of LaFontaine, IN, and having ties to Huntington County, IN, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at his home.
Mr. Gibson owned and operated Peace Pipe Bait and Tackle at Salamonie Reservoir for several years following his retirement from General Motors.
He was born Aug. 14, 1946, in Sullivan to Pete and Margaret Gipson. He is survived by his wife of eight years, Donna.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Tammy (Dennis Cobb) Scheerer, of Lapel; a son, Mike (Melissa) Gipson, of Anderson; four stepchildren, Ronnie (Virginia) Wampner, Heath (Martha) Wampner, Denay (Walt) Wandersee and RJ (Ashley) Hutchison; two brothers, John (Debbie) Gipson, of Daleville, and Steve (Libby) Gibson, of Fortville; three sisters, Ruth Ann Miller, of Indianapolis; Betty Baker, of Fortville; and Peggy (Dennis) Reynolds, of Fishers; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Calling is Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel,. 104 S. Main St., LaFontaine. There will be no service.
