Russell F. Crumrine

Russell F. Crumrine, 92, of LaFontaine, IN, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, at 12:25 a.m. at Select Specialties Acute Care Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Mr. Crumrine graduated from LaFontaine High School in 1939. Following the end of World War II, he returned to LaFontaine to join his father and uncle at the Crumrine Brothers Garage and Chevrolet dealership. He worked at and then owned the Crumrine Garage for more than 50 years.
He was born June 25, 1921, in LaFontaine to Noah Frank and Bertha Pulley Crumrine. He married Louise Ricks on Feb. 7, 1942. She preceded him in death after 57 years of marriage.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol (Steve) Williams, of Peru; a brother-in-law, Richard Goodpasture; and two grandchildren, Kristina Williams, of LaFontaine, and Brian Williams, of Tucson, AZ.
Calling is Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel, 104 S. Main St., LaFontaine. A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Brad Wright officiating. Burial will be at the LaFontaine I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
