Ruth E. Porter, 99, of Fort Wayne, IN, and a native of Roanoke, IN, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at her home.
Mrs. Porter and her husband were dairy farmers.
She was born April 6, 1914, in Roanoke, to Don and Edna Fisher Dewitt. She married Leo Porter, who preceded her in death in 1974.
Survivors include a daughter, Thelma (Ernest "Randy") Randolph; a sister, Francil D. Hand; a daughter-in-law, Mary Squires; nine grandchildren, Ricky (Roxie) Porter, Randy (Sue) Porter, Danny (Cheryl) Porter, Billy Porter, Bobby (Rhonda) Porter, Missy Porter, Terry Biddle, Kay Klopfenstein and Rosalie Biddle-Hunt; 17 great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.
Calling is Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a service following at 2 p.m., at Covington Memorial Funeral Home, 8408 Covington Rd., Fort Wayne. Entombment will be a Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.
