Charlotte Ann Winer, 90, of Peru, IN, and having ties to Huntington, IN, died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at 6 p.m., at Blair Ridge Senior Living Community, in Peru.
Mrs. Winer, a former resident of Wabash, had worked at King Hipskind Hardware and Clark's Finer Foods, both in Wabash. She had been a member of the Wabash Christian Church for more than 75 years.
She was born May 20, 1923, in Wabash to Leo and Doris Williams Brady. She married Willis H. Winer on July 13, 1940, in Huntington. He preceded her in death on Feb. 24, 1991.
Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Linn, of Mexico, and Kim (Robert) Barrus, of Wabash; a daughter-in-law, Paula Winer, of Wabash; 10 grandchildren, Jeff (Dena) Linn, of Peru; Terri (Dennis) Eisenmenger, of Denver; Greg (Mindy) Linn, of Mexico; Shelly (Jeff) Knee, Carrie (Tim) Vogel, Jennifer (J.P.) Denney, Adam (Kelli) Winer and Isaac (Beth) Winer all of Wabash; Joel Barrus, of Yorktown; and Mary (Kenneth) Norman, of Lagro; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Calling is Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m., with a service following at 2 p.m., at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash. Sam Polito will officiate. Burial will be at Center Grove Cemetery, Wabash.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Jay Linn Memorial Scholarship at Vincennes University.
