Mary B. Brennan, 96, of Huntington, IN, died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at 5 a.m. at her home.
Mrs. Brennan graduated from Huntington High School in 1935 and earned a bachelor's degree from Huntington College. She later earned a master's degree in special education. She taught at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic School, in Huntington. She was also involved in the founding of The Village School, the predecessor to Pathfinder Services. She had been involved with various organizations in Huntington County and was a lifelong member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, in Huntington.
She was born Sept. 7, 1917, in Huntington to John and Pauline Saluke Bomersback. She married Robert F. Brennan, who preceded her in death on Jan. 7, 2004.
Survivors include two sons, J.T. "Tim" Brennan, of Huntington, and Jim (Jamie) Brennan, of Warsaw; and two grandchildren, Riley Brennan and Benjamin Brennan, both of Warsaw.
Calling is Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A rosary service will be held Friday at 7 p.m., led by Rev. John Pfister. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at 10 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry St., Huntington, with Rev. Ron Rieder officiating.
