Carol J. "Joanne" Johnson, 66, of Warsaw, IN, and a former resident of Warren, IN, died Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at 10:37 p.m. at The Maples, in Goshen.
Ms. Johnson lived in Warren as a child and moved to the North Webster area in 1957. She graduated in 1966 from North Webster High School and attended International Business College, in Fort Wayne. She worked as a secretary for Perfection Biscuit Co., in Fort Wayne, for two years. She retired in 2002 from Zimmer Inc., in Warsaw, where she had worked for 34 years. She was a member of the Elks Lodge in Warsaw.
She was born Dec. 5, 1947, in Marion to Ernest DeWayne and Eva Lucille Reece Johnson.
Survivors include a brother, Richard (Janet) Johnson, of Coldwater, MI.
Calling is Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind.-13 and CR 500N, North Webster. A service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at 10 a.m. Rev. Mike Beezley, of the Clunette United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be at the Mock Cemetery addition of the North Webster Cemetery.
