Sister Mary Kathleen Rice

Sister Mary Kathleen Rice, OLVM, 90, a resident of Victory Noll, in Huntington, IN, died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at Victory Noll's Holy Family Health Care Center.
Sister Rice entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on Oct. 27, 1944, and made first vows on Aug. 5, 1947. She served in the missions in Michigan, Nevada, Wyoming, Missouri, Florida, New Jersey, California, at Victory Noll and Colorado. She returned to Victory Noll in 2012.
She was born June 11, 1923, in St. Louis, MO, to Edward and Mary Ellen Dalton Rice.
Survivors include two sisters, Patricia Schafers, of St. Louis, MO, and Sister Jacqueline Rice, BVM, of Chicago Ridge, IL.
A vigil service will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at 7 p.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at Victory Noll Memorial Chapel, 1900 W. Park Drive, Huntington. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated in the chapel on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., with calling one hour prior to Mass. Burial will be at Victory Noll Cemetery, Huntington.
