Melba Conrad

Melba Conrad, 90, of Cromwell, IN, and a native of Huntington County, IN, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at her home.

Mrs. Conrad had lived at Knapp Lake since 1956. She retired from Johnson Controls, where she had been employed for 28 years. She was a former member of the Markle United Methodist Church.

She was born Feb. 10, 1924, in Huntington County to William and Lenora Miller Henry.

Survivors include two sons, Keith Farber, of Kenneel, TX, and Robert (Patricia) Farber, of Syracuse; three stepsons, Dennis Conrad, of Noble County; William Conrad, of South Bend; and Harley Conrad, of Syracuse; a stepdaughter, Norma Jean Hamood, of Colorado; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several stepgrandchildren and stepgreat-grandchildren.

Calling is Monday, March 3, 2014, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Eastlund Funeral Home, 7458E-1000N, Syracuse. The family will hold a private graveside service on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at the Violett Cemetery, in Goshen.
