Marvin E. Babb, 60, of Huntington, IN, died Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at 5 p.m. at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
Mr. Babb graduated from Huntington North High School in 1972. He earned an associate's degree and worked as a dispatcher for the Huntington City Police Department for 35 years. He also was an antique dealer at Countryside Antiques in Columbia City for 20 years.
He was born Dec. 8, 1953, in Huntington to Harold and Maxine (Rupert) Babb. He married Sharon Culver on Oct. 5, 1973 in Andrews, and she survives.
Additional survivors are two sons, Austin E. (Adella) Babb, of Columbia City, and Tanner A. (Julie) Babb, of Huntington; a daughter, Tara Babb, of Huntington; two brothers, Gene (Bonnie) Babb, of Anderson, and Thomas Babb, of Huntington; three sisters, Linda Larkey, of Warren; Bonnie (Richard) Spencer, of Huntington; and Betty (Don) Ware, of Bippus; and seven grandchildren.
Calling is Tuesday, March 4, 2014, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Gary Dilley officiating. Burial will be held in Lancaster Cemetery in Huntington County.
