Highley D. Devine

Highley D. Devine, 64, of Marion, IN, and having family members in Warren, IN, died Saturday, March 1, 2014, at 6 a.m. at his home.

Mr. Devine, a graduate of Marion High School, worked as a roofer at Curran Roofing for 43 years. He was a Vietnam veteran, serving in the United States Army.

He was born in Marion to Highley and Bettie Bollett Devine. He married Kathleen Belcher on March 12, 1984, and she survives.

Additional survivors include three daughters, Brandi McDowell, of Warren; Kim (Zach) Montgomery, of Hartford City; and Angela (Mike) Byer, of Marion; two sons, Highley E. Devine, of Hartford City, and Johnny Thompson, of Marion; a sister, Donna (Lee) Counterman, of Sweetser; two sisters-in-law, Donna Belcher, of Marion, and Lisa (Rob) Moon, of Fairmount; a brother-in-law, Jessie (Vicki) Belcher, of Fairmount; his parents-in-law, Donna and William Thomas, of Eaton; 11 grandchildren, Lance, Raleigh, Travis, Johnny Jr., Kourtney, Highley D.J., Brenton, Tyler, Madison, Jach and Jasmine; and one great-grandchild.

Calling is Wednesday, March 5, 2014, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a service following at 8 p.m., at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion. Rev. Mick Simpkins will officiate.
