Robert L. 'Bob' McKinzie

Robert L. "Bob" McKinzie, 58, of Coesse, IN, and having family members in Huntington County, IN, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at 11:52 p.m. of injuries suffered in a fire at his home.

Mr. McKinzie attended Huntington North High School and served in the United States Army. He worked in the shipping department at Dalton Foundries, where he had been employed for 34 years. He was a member of United Steel Workers Local 6805, a board member of the Dalton Club and a member of the Sunday night league at Gilliam Bowling Lanes, in Warsaw.

He was born June 19, 1955, in Seymour to Ervin and Marjorie Bush McKinzie. He married Cherie Shively on Sept. 1, 1973, in Huntington. His wife survives.

Additional survivors include two sons, Robert L. (Rita) McKinzie Jr., of Columbia City, and Troy McKinzie, of Mentone; two daughters, Trina L. (David) Burkett, of Tippecanoe, and Heather Niemann, of Columbia City; three sisters, Melinda (Charles) Ferguson, of Huntington; Janet (Rich) Doersher, of North Webster; and Rosey Lee Lee, of Bippus; and 14 grandchildren.

Calling is Monday, March 10, 2014, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw.
