Barbara A. Platt Creed, 85, of Fort Wayne, and a former resident of Markle, died Monday, March 10, 2014, at 7:55 a.m. at Lutheran Life Villages, in Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Creed was a veteran of the United States Army. She served for 20 years and was stationed in Germany and France. She was a member of American Legion Post 47, in Fort Wayne.
She also worked as a disc jockey for WOWO Radio, in Fort Wayne, for four years. She was a member of Canterbury Golf Club.
She was born Sept. 22, 1928, in Fort Wayne to Lloyd D. and Mary E. Brown Platt.
Survivors include a son, Ronald Watson, of North Carolina; a grandson, Christopher Watson, of Philadelphia, PA; and two great-grandchildren.
Calling is Friday, March 14, 2014, from noon to 2 p.m., with a service following at 2 p.m., at Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle. Interment will be at the Markle Cemetery.
