Noval G. Bailey, 82, of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at 1:58 p.m. at the Visiting Nurse Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
Mr. Bailey served in the United States Marine Corps from 1952 to 1954. He worked as an inspector for Quality Standards, in Marion, for 31 years and retired from Fisher Body, in Marion, in 1987.
He was a life member of American Legion Post 85 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689, both in Huntington; AMVETS, in Hartford City; Navy Club Ship 48, in Fort Wayne; and the Fort Miami Detachment Marine Corps Club. He was also a member of Moose Lodge 837 and Eagles Aerie 823, both in Huntington.
He was born Sept. 29, 1931, in Huntington to John W. and Helen Pickens Bailey.
Survivors include two sons, Mark (Theresa) Bailey and Troy (Tammie M.) Bailey, both of Huntington; a daughter, Marci M. (Curt) Hostetler, of Huntington; a son-in-law, Jack Mull, of Huntington; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Calling is Sunday, March 16, 2014, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A service will be held at the mortuary on Monday, March 17, 2014, at 11 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Major Gerald Smelser will officiate. Entombment will be at M. Hope Cemetery, in Huntington. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689, Huntington.
