Glen L. Trosper

Glen L. Trosper, 90, of Montpelier, IN, and having family members in Warren, IN, died Sunday, April 6, 2014, at 9:40 p.m. at his home.
Mr. Trosper graduated in 1943 from Roll High School. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the United States Coast Guard. He was a long-time Blackford County farmer and retired in 1996 from Cablec-Anaconda Wire & Cable, in Marion, after 31 years of service.
He had been a member of the Farm Bureau, A.A.R.P. and the Montpelier Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was born Jan. 4, 1924, in Humrick, IL, to Walter and Florence Marshall Trosper. He married Jane E. Whitaker on March 23, 1945, in Hartford City. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, Walter Glen (Suellen) Trosper, of Montpelier, and James (Barbara) Trosper, of Warren; a sister-in-law, Arlet Trosper, of Montpelier; four grandchildren, Tony (Amy) Trosper, of Poneto; Deborah (James) Thompson, of Liberty Center; and Tina Surfus and Michael (Wendy) Trosper, both of Warren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Calling is Wednesday, April 9, 2014, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier. A service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at 10 a.m., with Rev. Henry Favorite officiating. Interment will be at Gardens of Memory, in Muncie.
