Joan M. Freel, 76, of Pierceton, IN, and a native of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, April 20, 2014, at Miller's Merry Manor, in Warsaw.
Mrs. Freel worked in resupply for Heckman Bindery, in North Manchester, for 18 years. She graduated from Huntington Township High School in 1955.
She was born Aug. 31, 1937, in Huntington County to Leroy and Bertha Buss Harris. She married James Freel on Nov. 20, 1955, in Huntington. Her husband survives.
Additional survivors include three sons, Jan (Lori) Freel and Jay (Janet) Freel, both of South Whitley, and Jerry Freel, of Kendallville; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Calling is Wednesday, April 23, 2014, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton. A service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 24, 2014, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Barry Faucett officiating. Burial will be at Spring Creek Cemetery, Pierceton.
