Archie Haney, 82, of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at his home.
Mr. Haney retired from Majestic after 10 years of service. He was an ordained Free Will Baptist minister for 63 years. He was a member of the Columbia City Free Will Baptist Church.
He was born Aug. 4, 1931, in Paintsville, KY, to John Boyd and Mary Haney. He married Joann Ward on Dec. 27, 1956, in Paintsville, KY. She preceded him in death on April 27, 2009.
Survivors include a son, Archie R. (Deb) Haney, of Huntington; a daughter, Mary Waters, of Huntington; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Calling is Friday, May 9, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a service following at 2 p.m., at the First Free Will Baptist Church, 1805 Salamonie Ave., Huntington. Rev. Brunk Conley and Rev. Bill Smith will officiate. Burial will be at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Huntington.
