Sister Gabrielle Skupien

Sister Gabrielle Skupien, OLVM, 99, a resident of Victory Noll, in Huntington, IN, died Sunday evening, June 8, 2014, at the Holy Family Health Care Center at Victory Noll.
Sister Skupien entered the Congregation of Our Lady of Victory Missionary Sisters on Feb. 4, 1935, and made her first vows on March 25, 1938. She served in missions in New Mexico, Nevada, California, Alabama, Michigan, Ohio, Missouri, Colorado and Florida. She retired to Victory Noll in 2006.
She was born Jan. 10, 1915, in Chicago, IL, to Stephen and Catherine Kurek Skupien.
She is survived by a sister, Rita Lally, of Naperville, IL.
A vigil service will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at 7 p.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at Victory Noll Memorial Chapel, 1900 W. Park Drive, Huntington. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated in the chapel on Thursday, June 12, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., with calling one hour prior to Mass. Burial will be at Victory Noll Cemetery.
