Bill C. Smith, 71, of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, June 19, 2014, at 5 a.m. at his home.
Mr. Smith worked at the Kresge Warehouse, Fort Wayne, for 23 years and retired from United Technologies, in Huntington. He attended Bethel Assembly of God Church, in Huntington.
He was born June 23, 1942, in Huntington, to Herbert F. and Thelma I. Schnitz Smith. He married Barbara F. Covey on June 1, 1963, in Huntington. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include a son, Roger C. Smith, of Warren; a daughter, Teresa F. (John) Murray, of Huntington; two brothers, Alan R. Farber, of Warren, and Terry A. (Pam) Smith, of Wabash; two grandchildren, Julia Murray and William Murray, both of Huntington; three stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Calling is Sunday, June 22, 2014, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A service will be held at the mortuary on Monday, June 23, 2014, at 1 p.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, Huntington County, with military rites conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689, Huntington.
