John W. Lockwood

John Wesley Lockwood, 84, of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, June 26, 2014, at 5:45 a.m. at his home.

Mr. Lockwood farmed with his father and brother Alvin for 20 years. He had also worked at Armour Pharmaceutical Company in Bourbonnais, IL, for 20 years. He served in Japan with the United States Army for two years in the Korean War. He was a member of College Park United Brethren Church.

He was born Oct. 30, 1929, in Caro, MI, to Wesley and Lotela Hudson Lockwood. He married Charlotte Knoblet, who preceded him in death. He later married Eileen Greenleaf, who also preceded him in death. He married Grace Ann Price on March 20, 1999, and she survives.

Additional survivors include a son, John W. (Cathy) Lockwood, of Louisville, KY; two brothers, Alvin Lockwood, of Caro, MI, and Paul Lockwood, of Cass City, MI; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Calling is Monday, June 30, 2014, from 10 a.m. to noon, with a service following at noon, at Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford St., Huntington. Rev. Gary Dilley will officiate. Interment will be at Almer Cemetery, in Caro, MI.
