Geneva M. 'Billie' Perkins

Geneva M. "Billie" Perkins, 92, of Andrews, IN, died Sunday, July 27, 2014, at 3:07 p.m. at The Heritage of Huntington.

Mrs. Perkins worked in quality control at General Tire, in Wabash, for 32 years. She also babysat for 20 years. She was a member of Charity Baptist Church, in Huntington.

She was born Dec. 31, 1921, in Cyclone to Thomas Vernon and Myrtle Agnes Whiteman Hutchison. She married Wesley Perkins on March 3, 1962, in Andrews, and he survives.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Donna Kay (Carl) O'Neal, of Fort Wayne, and Dian (William "Bill") Roper, of Fort Worth, TX; a stepdaughter, Carolyn Schooler, of Poway, CA; a stepson, Mark Edward Perkins, of Poway, CA; two sisters, Betty Mather, of Wabash, and Helen Shumaker, of Warsaw; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; four stepgrandsons; and one stepgreat-grandson.

Calling is Thursday, July 31, 2014, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Deal-Rice Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel. A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, at 10 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Wally Morris will officiate. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
