Richard L. "Dick" Speicher, 70, of Marion, IN, and having family members in Roanoke, IN, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2014, at 5:35 a.m. at his home.
Mr. Speicher was employed at General Motors as a millwright and attended Grace Community Church for the past 17 years. He served on the Washington Township Board of Trustees for more than 10 years and was a volunteer for the Washington Township Fire Department for 16 years.
He was born April 10, 1944, in Marion to Raymond and Charlotte Black Speicher. His mother survives. He married Judy Darnell on July 2, 1965, and she survives.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Kellie (Tim) Stoffel, of Roanoke, and Stefanie (Mark) Goodman, of Marion; three brothers, Phillip (Marilyn) Speicher, Robert "Bob" (Connie) Speicher and Dean (Sandy) Speicher; and three grandchildren, Spencer Goodman, Isaiah Goodman and Asher Stoffel.
Calling is Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, North Chapel, 1341 N. Baldwin Ave., Marion. A service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 201114, at 1 p.m., with Rev. Dr. Tom Mansbarger officiating. Entombment will be at Grant Memorial Park, Marion.
