Donald L. Hagenbuch

Donald L. Hagenbuch, 89, of Warren, IN, died Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at 11:12 p.m. at Parkview Huntington Hospital.

Mr. Hagenbuch graduated from Bippus High School. He served in the United States Navy from 1943 through 1946, spending 27 months aboard the USS Cincinnati. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, in Huntington, and former member of the American Legion. He was a 50-year member of the Huntington Masonic Lodge.

He farmed in Huntington and Wabash counties. He attended Faith Chapel United Methodist Church, in Goblesville.

He was born Dec. 7, 1924, in Wabash County to Amos and Helen Lester Hagenbuch. His first marriage was to Inez Schenkel, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his second wife, Betty L. Emley Hagenbuch.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Helen (Greg) Adams, of Huntington; two granddaughters, Stefanie (Thad) Stout and Erin (Matt) Carter, both of Huntington; and four great-grandchildren.

Calling is Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Applegate Chapel at Heritage Pointe, 801 Huntington Ave., Warren. A service will be held in the chapel on Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Ed Clark and Rev. Diana Siegel officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, in Servia.
