Sonya J. Ottinger

Sonya Jo Ottinger, 47, of Cromwell, IN, and a native of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at her home.

Mrs. Ottinger had moved to the Cromwell area in 1990 from Columbia City. She worked as a licensed massage therapist and was a member of the Broadway Christian Church.

She was born Feb. 10, 1962, in Huntington to Jay Rittenhouse and Nancy Sands. She married Mark Ottinger on May 23, 1981; her husband survives.

Additional survivors include a daughter, Kari (Jose) Antunez, of Ligonier; two sons, Justin Billy Ottinger, of Cromwell, and Bradly (Megan) Ottinger, of Churubusco; two sisters, Penni (Mark) Sievers, of Columbia City, and Kelly Townsend, of Burkett; a brother, Allen Golden, of Jefferson City, MO; her grandmother, Josephine Sands, of Huntington; four grandchildren, Keegan Ottinger, Makynzie Ottinger, Eliana Antunez and Elias Antunez; and her stepparents, Lee Golden, of Syracuse, and Fran Rittenhouse, of Monticello.

A service was held Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at the Broadway Christian Church, Kimmell, with Rev. Richard Rensner officiating. The family will hold a private burial at a later date.
