Josephine M. Bozarth, 93, of rural Lagro, IN, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2014, at 7:53 p.m. at her home.
With her husband, Rolland, Mrs. Bozarth founded Bozarth Campground in 1967. She also worked at Essex Wire in Andrews and was an Avon representative.
She was born Aug. 15, 1921, in White Pigeon, MI, to Peter Calusio and Alma Swihart Gray, and raised by her mother and stepfather, Truman Gray. She married Rolland E. Bozarth in Roann, Ion Nov. 14, 1948. He preceded her in death on Oct. 5, 1980.
Surviving are three sons, Jerry Murphy, of Butler; Fletcher Bozarth, of Lagro; and Nathan (Peggy) Bozarth, of Wabash; four daughters, Beverly (John) Lynn, of Wabash; Darlene Adams and Pamela (Steve) Pershing, both of Lagro; and Vivian (Dave) Wintrode, of Bloomington; a sister, Polly Kindig, of Florida; 24 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Calling is Monday, Sept. 15, 2014, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave., Wabash. A funeral service will be Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Center Grove Cemetery, Wabash.
Preferred memorial is Wabash-Miami Home Health Care and Hospice.
