Lerland W. Fogwell

Lerland Waldo Fogwell, 88, of Fort Wayne, IN and having family members in Roanoke, IN, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2014, at Hospice Home.

Mr. Fogwell was a farmer who raised crops and livestock, retiring in 1982. He was a member of Avalon Missionary Church.

He was born Aug. 13, 1926, in Pleasant Township, Allen County, to Herman W. and Ruth M. Duff Fogwell. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Louise Genth Fogwell.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Deborah Ann (Mike) Benzinger, of Roanoke, and Nanette Marie (David) Baker, of Fort Wayne; a son, Douglas Wayne (Teresa) Fogwell, of Winfield, IL; a brother, John W. Fogwell, of Bluffton; seven grandchildren, Erin, Joshua, Megan, Tyler, Kyle, Lauren and Hannah; four stepgrandchildren, Jason, Tom, Andrea and Aleachia; four great-grandchildren; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.

Calling is Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Rd., Fort Wayne. A service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, at 11 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at Avalon Missionary Church, 1212 Lower Huntington Rd., Fort Wayne. Burial will be at Maple Lawn Nine Mile Cemetery.
