Rosemary M. Manifold

Rosemary M. Manifold, 90, of Warren, IN, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, at Heritage Pointe, in Warren.

Mrs. Manifold graduated from Ball State University in 1944 and taught music and business at Wilkinson High School before her marriage. Following her husband's retirement as a United Methodist pastor and district superintendent, she worked in the Office of Residence Life at Manchester University and for the North Manchester Historical Society.

She played violin with the Manchester Symphony Orchestra for more than 50 years. She was active in United Methodist Women on the local, district and conference levels as well as Chapter DK of P.E.O., North Manchester Shepherd Center, Epworth Forest Choir School and Bulls and Bears. She presented her program "Sonnets on Bonnets" more than 700 times throughout the Midwest. After moving to Heritage Pointe in 1992, she directed the choir and chimes for many years.

She was born Nov. 19, 1923, in Shirley to Laurence R. and Anna Marie MacClarnon Cox. She married Rev. Dr. Orrin A. Manifold on June 10, 1946, and he preceded her in death.

Survivors include five sons, Roderick (Demetria) Manifold, of Palmyra, VA; Gregory Manifold, of Fort Wayne; Geoffrey (Gerry Golden) Manifold, of Gouldsboro, ME; Rev. Cameron (Becky) Manifold, of Indianapolis; and Alan (Lorraine) Manifold, of Melbourne, Australia; a brother, Dr. C. Benjamin Cox, of Champaign, IL; a sister-in-law, Alice Manifold, of Bloomington; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Mendon Cemetery, in Madison County.
