Joseph D. Hosler, 61, of Huntington, IN, died early Saturday morning, Oct. 18, 2014, at Indiana University Hospital, in Indianapolis.
Mr. Hosler graduated from Huntington North High School in 1972 and was a lifetime Huntington County farmer. He was a member of Central Christian Church, where he taught Sunday school and served as a youth leader and elder. He was a member of the Yellow Corvette Club and a former owner of Joseph Construction.
He was born Sept. 24, 1953, in Fort Bragg, NC, to Dean R. and Carol A. Reed Hosler. He married Teresa Allred on Dec. 6, 1975, in Huntington, and she survives.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Jessica (John) Tackitt, of Watervliet, MI; a son, Justin (Laura) Hosler, of Michigan; a sister, Judy (Steve) Adams, of Huntington; a brother-in-law, Mike Thornsbury, of Warsaw; and six grandchildren.
Calling is Saturday, Oct. 25, 2014, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., with a memorial service following at 6 p.m., at Central Christian Church, 500 MacGahan St., Huntington, Rev. Chris Hayden will officiate.
