Leo P. Haneline Jr.

Leo P. Haneline Jr., 75, of Indianapolis, IN, and a native of Huntington County, IN, died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, at 6 a.m. at his home.

Mr. Haneline graduated from Noble Township High School in 1957 and attended Ivy Tech, in Fort Wayne. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and had served in Okinawa, Japan. He worked at Essex Company, in Columbia City, for 10 years and had also been employed by Poly Hi-Solidur, in Fort Wayne.

He was born Sept. 5, 1939, in Huntington County to Leo P. Sr. and Daisy Mae Harrell Haneline. He married Sandra E. Black on July 28, 1963, in Wabash, and she survives.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Dr. Laura Haneline and Melanie Haneline, both of Indianapolis; a son, Daniel (Sarah) Haneline, of Loveland, OH; three brothers, Robert Haneline, of Wabash; Ronald Haneline, of Huntington; and Alan Haneline, of Columbia City; and three grandchildren, Austin Haneline and Courtney Haneline, both of Loveland, H, and Benjamin Haneline, of Indianapolis.

Calling is Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2014, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A service will be held at the mortuary on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, at 10 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Raymond Scribner will officiate. Burial will be at Beech Grove Cemetery, Huntington County.
