Henry C. Grizzle

Henry Charles Grizzle, 88, of Wabash, IN, and having family members in Warren, IN, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2014, at 4:51 a.m. at his home.

Mr. Grizzle served in the United States Navy during World War II as a first class seaman. He was a retired farmer and construction worker.

He was born Jan. 1, 1926, in Dahlonega, GA, to Clayton H. and Pearl Ingrham Grizzle. He married Hazel Smith on Jan. 22, 1951, and she survives.

Additional survivors include three sons, Danny (Joann) Grizzle, of Lagro; Charles Grizzle, of Warren; and Larry (Tammy) Grizzle, of Wabash; 11 grandchildren, Jeanne (Mike) Rehak, Daniel Grizzle, Tom (LeeAnn) Grizzle, Darrell Grizzle, Joanne (Aaron) Parks, Joe (Bethany) Grizzle, Chuck (Jamie) Grizzle, Jason Grizzle, Mandy (Josh) Nordman, Ashley (Jason) Dale and Aaron (Natalie) Grizzle; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Calling is Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home, 231 Falls Ave., Wabash. A service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014, at 10 a.m., with Aaron Parks officiating. Burial will be at Falls Cemetery, in Wabash.
