Dennis A. Girardot

Dennis A. “Kool-Aid” Girardot, 73, of Fort Wayne, IN, and having family members in Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

Mr. Girardot worked as a manager with Ream Steckbeck for 45 years, retiring in 2008. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hessen Cassel, and an honorary member of Knights of Columbus Council 12379.

He was born in Fort Wayne to Adrian and Lola Girardot. He is survived by his wife, Joan Girardot.

Additional survivors include three daughters, Julia (Michel) Heckber, of Ossian; Jane (Trent) Kleine, of Monroeville; and Joyce (Chris) Dodane, of Hoagland; three sons, Jerry (Susan) Girardot, of Huntington; Jim (Julie) Girardot, of Fort Wayne; and Jay (Jennifer) Girardot, of Yoder; two brothers, Gerald (Ralfa) Girardot, of Del City, OK, and Michael (Lynne) Girardot, of Fort Wayne; 20 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Calling is Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 3:30 p.m., at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Ave., Fort Wayne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, at 11 a.m., with calling one hour prior to Mass, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hessen Cassel. Rev. William Kumer will officiate. Burial will be at the St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Hessen Cassel.

Memorial gifts may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hessen Cassel, for Masses, St. Joseph Catholic School or capital improvements to the church.
