Earl F. Newnum

Earl F. Newnum, 69, of Bluffton, IN, and having family members in Huntington County, IN, died Monday, Dec. 15, 2014, at 7:50 p.m. at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne.

Mr. Newnum worked as a supervisor in the Shellcore department at Sterling Casting until the company closed. He had also owned and operated Newnum’s Casting Paint for several yeas.

He was born June 6, 1945, in Russell, AR, to William and Martha Newnum. He married Linda Caley on June 12, 1965, and she survives.

Additional survivors include three sons, Brian (Pam) Newnum, of Markle; Tom (April) Newnum, of Huntington; and Brad (Rebecca) Newnum, of Springfield, VA; a daughter, Sherry Retherford, of Bluffton; five brothers, Clyde Newnum, of Markle; Gilbert Newnum, of Conway, AR; Joe Newnum, of Judsonia, AR; Manco Newnum, of Malden, MO; and Johnny Newnum, of Farmington, NM; three sisters, Rebecca Crain, of Bradford, AR; Donella Knight, of Tallapoosa, MO; and Marie Gorman, of Bradford, AR; 12 grandchildren, Chase (Caitlin), Coty (Shelby), Heather, Jordan, Dylan, Carly, Cassandra, Paige, Katie, Emma, Emily and Mary; and five great-grandsons.

Calling is Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Goodwin-Cale & Harnish Memorial Chapel, in Bluffton. A service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 20, at noon, with calling one hour prior to the service, at Six Mile Church, in Bluffton. Burial will be at Six Mile Cemetery.
