Jerome C. 'Jerry' Crocker Jr.

Jerome C. “Jerry” Crocker Jr., 97, of Huntington, IN, died Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015, at 2:50 a.m. at Tipton Place.

Mr. Crocker was a World War II veteran, serving with the United States Navy in the South Pacific. He worked as a mechanic in the truck and auto repair field. He practiced the Catholic faith. A former resident of El Cajon, CA, he moved to Huntington in 2006.

He was born on Feb. 5, 1917, in Denton, TX, to Jerome C. Sr. and Minnie Leona Thornton Crocker. He married Annette Matherne in January of 1942 in Breckinridge, MN. She preceded him in death on Aug. 15, 2004.

Survivors include a son, Don (Nonda) Crocker, of Huntington; two daughters, Dolores (Dick) Tallmadge, of Portland, R, and Wanda (Pete) Liebig, of Lakeside, CA; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-great-grandchildren.
