Phyllis L. Reber

Phyllis L. Reber, 91, a former resident of Roanoke, IN, died Monday morning, Feb. 16, 2014, at Heritage Pointe, in Warren.

Ms. Reber was a 1941 graduate of Rock Creek High School and worked at General Electric for five years. She worked as a waitress for 42 years, starting at the Hotel LaFontaine, in Huntington, where she worked for five years; worked at several restaurants in the Fort Wayne area; and worked at the Village Inn, in Roanoke, for 12 years before retiring in 1988. She was a member of Union Church.

She was born April 18, 1923, in Brown’s Corners, Huntington County, to William E. and Blanche I. Harvey Reber.

Calling is Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a service following at 1 p.m., at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, Huntington. Interment will be at Star of Hope Cemetery.
