Virginia R. Airgood

Virginia R. Airgood, 92, of North Manchester, IN, and having ties to Bippus, IN, died Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at 4:25 p.m. at the Kosciusko County Hospital, in Warsaw.

Mrs. Airgood, a 1940 graduate of Lagro High School, worked at Heckman Bindery for 19 years and retired in 1982. She was a 53-year member of the Chester Charmers Home Economics Club, in North Manchester, and a member of Servia-New Hope United Church of Christ, in Bippus.

She was born Oct. 18, 1922, in Huntington County to Elmer and Dessie Kline Fleck. She married George A. Airgood on Feb. 7, 1942, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 21, 2010.

Survivors include a son, Dick R. (Deanna) Airgood, of Greenfork; a daughter, Sally (Robert) Gamsby, of Wabash; a half-brother, Charles (Sylvia) Fleck, of Fort Wayne; a half-sister, Mary Lois Chamberlain, of North Manchester; seven grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

A service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at noon, with calling beginning at 10 a.m., at Peabody Chapel, 400 W. Seventh St., North Manchester. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, in Servia.
