James E. “Jim” Cook, 81, of Markle, died Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Markle Health and Rehabilitation, in Markle.
Mr. Cook, a 1952 graduate of New Haven High School, had worked at Western Auto, W.T. Grant, Wayne Home Equipment and Midwest Tool and Die. He helped coach the Norwell High School bowling team and bowled a perfect game at age 72.
He was born Oct. 8, 1933, in New Haven to George and Zelda Cook.
Survivors include a son, Gary (Laura) Cook, of New Haven; four daughters, Carol Jean Dossen, Mary (Randy) Frick and Janice (Richard) Havener, all of Zanesville, and Kathleen “Petie” (Randy) Bair, of Chandler, AZ; a brother-in-law, Thomas Combs; 13 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 3, 2015, at 4 p.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 917 W. Jefferson Blvd., Fort Wayne.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Norwell High School Athletics or to the family in care of Janice Havener to cover medical expenses.
