Marjorie D. Richardson

Marjorie D. Richardson, 89, of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at 3:45 a.m. at Oakbrook Village, in Huntington.

Mrs. Richardson, a 1943 graduate of Huntington Township High School, worked at Memcor, in Huntington, for 15 years and at Art Chemical, also in Huntington, for seven years. She was a member of St. Peter’s First Community Church, in Huntington, where she sang in the choir. She played the snare drum in the Nazarene Band for 25 years.

She was born May 16, 1925, in Huntington to William J. and Hazel G. Jarvis Flaugher. She married Richard “Dick” Richardson on Sept. 9, 1944, in Huntington, and he preceded her in death on March 3, 1994.

Survivors include a son, Gary L. Richardson, of Ossian; four grandchildren, Nicole L. Sandlin, Linda Kiefer, Bernie Mandel and Abbie Richardson; and five great-grandchildren.

Calling is Thursday, May 14, 2015, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., with a service following at 6 p.m., at Bailey-Love Mortuary, Huntington. Those unable to attend may view the service on the Bailey-Love Mortuary channel at www.livestream.com. Burial will be at St. Peter’s First Cemetery, in Huntington.
