Rev. Jerrell L. Gallaway

Rev. Jerrell L. Gallaway, 82, a former resident of Marion, IN, died Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at Heritage Pointe, in Warren, IN.

Rev. Galloway was retired from General Motors, where he had worked as a machine repairman for 33 years. He was licensed with the Assemblies of God in 1961 and served as pastor of Greentown Assembly of God from 1960 to 1962 and as pastor of Lighthouse Assembly of God from 1990 to 1993. He served as associate pastor at Westside Assembly of God for approximately 28 years.

He was born in Heber Springs, AR, to John and Julia Bittle Gallaway. He married Doris Harmon on July 6, 1950, and she survives.

Additional survivors include three sons, Rev. Larry D. (Phillis) Gallaway and Rev. Stephen L. (Sharon) Gallaway, both of New Castle, and Rev. Jerry D. (Paula) Gallaway, of Upland; a daughter, Faith (Jim) Labus, of Sweetser; a brother, Elmer (Marie) Gallaway, of Marion; a sister, Ernestine Drook, of Marion; eight grandchildren, Brian (Stacy White) Gallaway, Heather Gallaway, Staci (Kris) Callaway, Holli (Joel) Paine, Craig (Safina Jamal) Duke, Stephanie Ratliff, Cameron Labus and Tyler (Elizabeth) Gallaway; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Tuesday, July 7, 2015, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Lighthouse Assembly of God, 5909 S. Jay St., Marion. A service will be held at the church on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at 11:30 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Larry Gallaway, Rev. Stephen Gallaway, Faith Labus and Rev. Jerry Gallaway will officiate. Interment will be at Grant Memorial Park, in Marion.

Memorial gifts may be made to Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, in Marion, or First Asssembly of God Church, in New Castle.

Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, in Gas City, was in charge of arrangements.
