Deborah R. Settlemyre, 56, of Huntington, IN, died Monday, July 6, 2015, at 6:15 p.m. at her home.
Mrs. Settlemyre graduated from Huntington North High School in 1978. She was employed by The Daugherty Companies, in Warren.
She was born April 3, 1959, in Cincinnati, OH, to Joseph and Pauline Jones McPheron. She married James “Jim” Settlemyre on Jan. 12, 1979, in Elkhart, and he survives.
Additional survivors include a son, Christopher (Jasmine) Settlemyre, of Huntington; a daughter, Lin Kae (Matt) Worthman, of Huntington; three brothers, Rodney (Sonia) McPheron, of Arizona; Rocky McPheron, of Florida; and Joe S. McPheron, of Missouri; seven sisters, Maeda (Joe) Scanlin, of Florida; Judy Bailey, of North Carolina; Joan (Ed) Bisch, Kathy Stinson, Brenda (Sam) Wright and Georgia (Dave) Sprague, all of Huntington; and Margaret (Mike) Brown, of South Carolina; and three grandchildren, Jackson Worthman, Logan Worthman and Lauren Worthman.
Calling is Thursday, July 9, 2015, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington. A service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 10, 2015, at 11 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Mike Smith will officiate. Private burial will be at a later date.
