Jolene S. Hensley

Jolene Sue Hensley, 40, of rural North Manchester, IN, and a native of Huntington, IN, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, at 2:40 p.m. at her home.

Mrs. Hensley graduated from Manchester High School in 1987 and earned a degree in mental health from Indiana-Purdue University, Fort Wayne. She was a certified dietary manager and worked as the food service director and as a school bus driver for the Manchester Public Schools. She was a member of Congregational Christian Church, North Manchester.

She was born Sept. 3, 1968, in Huntington. She is survived by her parents, Donald L. Kastler, of Fort Wayne, and Ann M. (Sam) Snyder, of North Manchester. She is also survived by her husband, Michael Ray Hensley.

Additional survivors include three children, Kaitlyn Hensley, Kylie Hensley and Korbin Hensley, all of North Manchester; two brothers, Steven (Michele) Kastner, of South Bend, and David Kastner, of San Francisco, CA; five sisters, Debra (Doug) Lance, of Marion; Janet (Kent) Terrill and Jill (Heath) Medsger, both of North Manchester; Melissa (Shad) Funk, of Huntington; and Melanie (Andy) Trickle, of Fort Wayne.

Calling is Thursday, Feb. 12, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Home, Bender Chapel, 207 W. Main St., North Manchester. The family will receive friends Friday, Feb. 13, at 1 p.m. at the Congregational Christian Church, 310 N. Walnut St., North Manchester. The funeral service will be private. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington.
