Juanice Griffin, 87, of Markle, IN, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, at 3:40 a.m. at the Markle Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Griffin was a 1941 graduate of New Hope High School in New Hope, Arkansas. She had worked in medical records at Caylor Nickel Clinic as a supervisor, retiring in 1985. She had also worked at Square D Corporation in Huntington and at the Markle Coil Factory. She was a member of the Markle United Methodist Church

She was born Oct. 12, 1922, in Daisy, AR, to J.F. and Virgie Welch Yeargan.She married D. Kay Clampitt on Nov. 3, 1943, in New Hope, AR. He preceded her in death on Sept. 13, 1972. She later married Dale Griffin on Dec. 7, 1985, in Markle. He preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 1988.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda K. (Richard) Pope, of Markle; a son, William F. (Kathryn) Clampitt, of Sarasota, FL; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Calling is Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee St., Markle. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Kathie Jones officiating.Interment will be at the Markle Cemetery.
